B +

B Positive is not my blood group but Be positive is in my blood
I got hooked to this quotation the day I read it and let it flow in my blood stream with my O+ blood
This became so much a part of my life that I started looking for positivity in every one’s behavior as a result my near ones started accusing me of justifying others behaviors and acts, I was even blamed for being partial towards others and ignoring my closed one. What they failed to realize was that I was letting my positive attitude rule over me and I was trying to find positivity in everything. And of course intentionally I was trying to rub off my thinking on them but little did I realize that I was failing in my endeavors. And they were succeeding in transfusing my blood with their negativity. Because in today’s world it is convenient and easy for evil to win

But having faith in the saying that truth, goodness, positive traits always win, I still let positive thought flow in my blood most of the time.
But to err is human, and I am a vulnerable human being, who gets easily swayed by happenings around me. I know that negativity breeds negativity and I always try to resist them But sometimes the circumstances are such that one thing leads to another and suddenly I find myself engulfed with negative thoughts which in turn leads to negative acts which adds fuel to already poisoned atmosphere and the result is a vicious non ending chain
We all know that a pessimistic attitude is detrimental to our success but even then most of us nurture this like a cherished child
JAB HUM DIL SE KISI CHIZ KO CHAHTE HAI TO PURI KAYNATH JUT JAATI HAI VO CHIZ HASSAIL KARANE MEIN. ( when we want something with determination then the whole world joins together to see that we get it)How true
If you are happy, have happy thoughts then you find happiness all around you. Certain acts which tilt more towards negativity, even they become your strength and you can derive happiness from them because your system gets used to happiness and you find the whole atmosphere bubbling with joy. similarly when you are angry your whole surrounding gets enveloped with your anger and your stress and you start finding faults in everything around you and which in turn effects your relations to the point of breaking.
So it just happened that the other day before sleeping I got one bad news which didn’t let me sleep the whole night. And I just prayed that I should not get more bad news but then law of attraction does exist. One bad news, one negative thought pulls another one like a magnet and before I could wash the effects of the shattering news something happened in the morning which caused me lots of stress and by the time sun was showing its full strength came another shocking news. I just waited for some good news strong enough to wash away the remains of day’s happenings.
At that time, I realized that to sway the mood from happiness, from positive thinking to negative a small incidence can suffice but to change from negativity to positivity a tornado is essential. Such is the effect of negativism.
There are times when talking about positive attitude and looking for positivity in certain situations sound so hypocritical to me that I feel ashamed of my attitude…..
Imagine talking about searching for something good, something positive to a person, who has just lost a job, or a wife who has had a severe tiff with her husband, or a student who has flunked in his exams, or a person who is finding difficult to adjust to certain situation. How can you console someone who has lost his riches, or a relation?
How can you talk about positive attitude to a person who is helplessly witnessing his breaking relation with his near ones?
Talking about finding some purpose behind it or talking about positivity or letting the all mighty take over doesn’t solve the problems .Rather the sufferer gets the idea that other person is being superficial or offering only lip service. He doesn’t realize the efforts the other person is making to pull him out of the tricky situations or trying to give him some solace through his verbal support.
But such are the ways of life. And at such times I really wonder what is the point in having a Be positive attitude if it becomes a stumbling block in keeping relations

Well written anju. You have become a prolific writer. I enjoy reading all your expressions, reflections, interpretation & introspections. Being Positive is a state of mind also. One has to put efforts to really find positives from any negative happening and thought.one has to develop cretain startegies to handle negative thoughts. One of them could be-- Laugh it out. i am not joking it works sometimes or accept it that i have this negative thoughts and then move forward to find out the genesis of it minus getting emotional about it.One can handle it maturedly

I posted a blog recently about a recent study showing the impact of being surrounded by happy friends and family. While those around you may voice negativity, your positive attitude is benefiting them in many ways.

What wise words from someone so young. It is the devil or what ever you call evil that is causing you these feelings to doubt yourself. When someone is negative themselves, they want to make everyone feel like they do. Sometimes, as you suggest, the words we mean to be kind do come off sounding so hollow. Sometimes it is best to use what I have recently learned as The Ministry Of Presence. No words are necessary, sometimes. Some of those statements are cliches and sometimes I have to stop myself and realize I am only saying that to calm myself. I am a very empathetic person, being a nurse I must be open to all aspects of a person. My husband misunderstands my attitude and things I fall for everything coming along. I try to tell him, just because I understand why someone does something, does not mean I approve. You know you must be true to yourself. Don't ever lose that value. My youngest daughter thinks I am naive. Boy is she missing the point. Love to you dear one. Hey I just bought a Noah Bell, yesterday, hand made in India. Do you know of a Noah Bell?

While a positive attitude is certainly desirable, I agree that sometimes the sufferer might feel that we are being superficial, if we talk about the positive in a very bad situation.

Perhaps thinking/talking about ways to improve the situation- as opposed to finding good in the present situation- might help?

so very true..i experience this very very often..when i'm happy,i would be bubbling around, loving everyone, expressing it and all..when i'm sad,i would be the last person u try messing up with..
and the effort part is also there..many a times, even those closest frnds have told me,'you wouldn't understand coz u dont get to suffer'..it's like all our efforts are dwindled to nothing in their mind!

The negative energy from some people can really pull you down. They will tell you something or the other that can make you brood for ages and spoil your mood.
Being positive helps always as you tend to attract the right vibes and things really work out to plan.

I dont know B+'s effect on relationships, but its definitively the right attitude. Looking at the brighter side or silver linings, clearly reduces a lot of stress in our life. Stress leads to Anxiety and anxiety leads to a lot of trauma, ultimately affecting out life itself.

I too find a lot of negativity around me. In my own family. I am told to stay grounded, when great men ( like Abdul kalam for eg)tells you to dream. Infact the power of dreams is anormous, and is the stepping stone. But no, i am told that theres fate, and no matter what fate decides. Keeps my spirits low.

Nice post Anju, certainly one of your best posts. TC:))

very nicely presented and penned down...you have included all the key points that one can think of when we talk about positive attitude..

anju, we (i.e. a friend and I) have been researching on positive thinking for a long time...we have even created a website and published a book on the same...my role is only limited to the creative and proof-reading part of it, but my friend has completed the content and the subject matter..

thanx to every one who has replied to my post and has enriched me with their comments
we all are vulnerable human beings who get influenced by our surroundings and also the events in our life affects our thinking. when every thing is going wrong then despite of knowing that positive attitude can change our life, we can not look for positivity in life.and friends and family members play important role. there is a saying in hindi which goes "kajal ki kothadi mein kaiso bhi sayano jaaye ek boond kajal ke laage re laage). the process is both ways, ideally we should all try to absorb the posivity of the atmosphere but in reality the negativity attracts us faster .
i have read the famous book SECRET which talks about law of attraction and positivity. the day i read it i feel positive and i make conscious efforts to think positive but when the effect of book wears off i am back to my old self. ;-)
hats off to all those who are able to embrace and remain glued to positivism even when every thing in their life is against the tide

Well, I feel negativity is deeply connected with sense of Negation.
Positivity is sense of acceptance. "I am this, I should be that" is still a sense of negation, a negativity. Acceptance of the state, of the condition, of the situation is postivity.
for an example.. If a sad news is heard..then you start doing things
like I should be positive..But at that moment still u r negative .
A sense of acceptance really accept ur negativity as well as positivity and take out from the conflicts of psychological Duality.
